Creative Industries UK
The concept of Creative Industries has at least 20 years; however it’s a world trend that is witnessing an economic change based in creativity. According to the data from United Nations Organization (UNO), Creative Industries in its set contribute with over 7% of world production and predicts that in the following years its increase will amount to an average rate of 10%. As a leader sector in several countries, UK is the best international exampleof implementing development strategies based in the Creative Industries. Data indicates that these industries have developed in the country about 1.9 million jobs in 121 000 enterprises and generated 8% of GNI.
The main cities involved in the creative “boom” are: Manchester, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Birmingham and London. Therefore, ANJE - Associação Nacional de Jovens Empresários, according to the Internationalization Project GET OUT, with the collaboration of ADDICT – Creative Industries Portugal, will conduct a business mission to the United Kingdom sector of the Creative Industries.
